Practice shelter medicine and perform spay/neuter surgeries for pets entering the APA’s second location. The APA has been serving pets for 100 years and our veterinary team has a rewarding impact on furthering our life-saving work. The shelter medicine veterinarian will provide treatment plans for sick and injured animals, perform spay and neuter surgeries, and other procedures. Must be licensed in the State of Missouri to practice veterinary medicine or ability to obtain MO license. Must have, or be qualified and eligible to obtain, a DEA license and MO BNDD license. Experience in the field of veterinary medicine required. Shelter medicine, high-quality high-volume surgical sterilization, and leadership experience preferred.
