Young Friends & Old Friends

At the APA, we welcome dedicated individuals from every walk of life. To that end, we’ve formed two groups with annual membership fees that support both social opportunities and the fulfillment of our mission.

Young Friends

The Young Friends of the APA are a group of 20- and 30-year-olds dedicated to the continued success of the APA Adoption Center. The organization aims to increase awareness of our mission among young adults, while enhancing our volunteer base, developing future leadership, and supporting the APA through membership and fundraising events.

Group members enjoy many benefits, including:

  • Exclusive invitations to Young Friends events
  • Savings on APA signature events (Cocktails and Tails, Canine Carnival, and more)
  • Social and professional networking opportunities
  • 25% discount coupon for APA merchandise
  • Regular communication about upcoming events, activities, and other APA news via our quarterly enewsletter
  • Recognition in APA publications
  • Endless opportunities to improve the lives of animals in our community

Old Friends

The Old Friends of the APA are a group of older adults dedicated to our mission and the continued success of the APA Adoption Center. Membership provides an opportunity to connect and socialize with others who recognize the value of the human-animal bond and the APA’s work in facilitating it.

Members gain access to benefits including:

  • Exclusive invitations to Old Friends events
  • Savings on APA signature events (Cocktails and Tails, Canine Carnival, and more)
  • Animal adoption discounts
  • Opportunities to socialize and stay purposefully engaged in the community
  • Regular communication about upcoming events, activities, and other APA news via our quarterly newsletter via email or print
  • Recognition in APA publications
  • A special annual membership gift
