Restorative Justice Paintings

Through a collaboration with the Missouri Department of Corrections and the Restorative Justice program, the APA Adoption Center is able to offer a unique opportunity for individuals to capture their pet’s image through art.

Color photographs can be submitted to the APA, and for a minimum donation of $75, an artist in residence at one of four Missouri prisons will create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of your pet.

Restorative Justice is an ancient philosophy that addresses criminal behavior with the fundamental philosophy that when a crime is committed, a debt is incurred. Restorative Justice holds the offenders accountable and provides a way for them to repay their debt to the victim and the community. Offenders who participate in Restorative Justice have the opportunity to leave the system with an improved attitude and sense of belonging.

Restorative Justice helps strengthen the social bonds that serve as the foundation of our communities, and is achieved by the combined efforts of victims, concerned citizens, federal, state and local governments, as well as non-profit agencies.

The APA is proud to partner with the Missouri Department of Corrections and Restorative Justice to provide a way for offenders to give back to the community while supporting a worthwhile organization that does so much for so many.
