Five Ways to Celebrate National BOOP Your Pet Day

July 26th, is a special day for the APA! It’s our official 101st birthday and National BOOP Your Pet Day and you are invited to join us for a day of adoption specials, activities, and of course, cake! To make National BOOP Your Pet Day extra special, we need your help! Below are five ways you can help us celebrate leading up to and on July 26th:

1. Join us at APA Brentwood or APA Olivette for a cupcake (or two) and make an enrichment toy for a shelter pet. Sign up to take a dog on a date to your local park where you’ll both benefit from the change of scenery.

2. Adopt a pet! Adoption fees will be waived on July 26th for all pets 6 months and older and adoption fees for puppies and kittens are 50% off, courtesy of our friends at MetLife Pet Insurance.

3. Give love! Help us meet our goal of $20,000 to help provide essential medical care, quality enrichment, and safe shelter for the hundreds of pets in our care right now. If you donate during our special power hour at noon, our friends at Tito’s will match every dollar, up to a $1,000.

5. Spread the word! Please share the APA’s social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn) on your pages to promote our birthday with #BoopYourPetDay!
