The Behavior and Enrichment Manager develops and implements enrichment programs and behavior plans for adoption center animals. They provide leadership and coordination to the behavior and enrichment team across both locations. This position helps with playgroups for dogs, kennel enrichment, individual behavior plans, and pathway plans. This position will supervise the behavior team and provide training and support to staff and volunteers who help with behavior and enrichment. They will also work closely with other departments to promote adoptable animals, support fosters/adopters, and assist with enrichment activities for volunteer groups such as pack walks.

At least 2 years’ experience in animal handling and training/behavior required. Certification from IAABC, CCPDT, KPA, or other relevant animal behavior certifying organization or degree in animal training/behavior field required. Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for periods of five hours, walk large dogs over uneven terrain, and work in outdoor weather conditions. This position starts at $24/hour.
