Description:
The Behavior and Enrichment Coordinator promotes an enriching environment to provide outlets for natural behavior and reduce stress. This position helps with playgroups for dogs, in kennel enrichment, behavior management techniques, and provides fear free care and handling. This position will work closely with other members of the behavior team and will assist and support enrichment program volunteers. At least 2 years’ experience in animal handling and training/behavior. Certification from IAABC, CCPDT, KPA, or other relevant animal behavior certifying organization or degree in animal training/behavior field preferred. Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for periods of five hours, walk large dogs over uneven terrain, and work in outdoor weather conditions. This position starts at $18/hour.
