The assistant population manager will help with behavior evaluations, pathway planning, and flow through of animals. This position will conduct dog testing, play groups, and dog walks. They will also work closely with other departments to promote adoptable animals, support fosters/adopters, and assist with enrichment activities. At least 2 years’ experience in animal handling required. Certification from IAABC, CCPDT, KPA, or other relevant animal behavior certifying organization preferred. Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for periods of five hours, walk large dogs over uneven terrain, and work in outdoor weather conditions. This position starts at $20/hour.
