Rocky the Cat

Rocky and his new family on his ‘gotcha day.’

Rocky was brought to the APA Adoption Center in November by a local transfer partner – just in time for Thanksgiving. Rocky was certainly thankful to be somewhere safe! Upon his arrival our animal care team observed that he was suffering with some eye issues, most likely the result of past trauma. After several weeks of medical treatment (and winning over the hearts of staff) Rocky was finally able to hit the adoption floor. He sat proudly in the front lobby, charming everyone who entered our doors with his sparkling personality. Despite his disposition, Rocky sat available for adoption for a few more weeks because he is Feline Leukemia Positive and needed to go to a home with no other kitty friends. After waiting oh so patiently, on February 13th – just one day before Valentine’s Day – our sweet boy found his new home. Rocky’s new family said he is thriving and is so affectionate and cuddly, they couldn’t be happier to have him as part of their family.
