Description:
The Animal Care Supervisor provides leadership and direction to the animal care staff and implements and maintains superior animal care standards in accordance with APA policies and procedures. The supervisor monitors the health and well-being of the animals to include routine care, health observations, and treating sick or injured animals. Through hands on leadership, assist with daily tasks and provide ongoing support to team members. Promote positive and timely communication with the team and assist with onboarding, training, and coaching staff. At least 3 years’ experience in animal health or welfare required. Veterinarian technician certification and leadership experience preferred. Friendly customer service skills and computer literacy are also required. Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for periods of five hours. This position starts at $19/hour, commensurate with experience.
