Friendship From Fur to Heart

Adoption is an act of kindness and mercy, but also an opportunity for immeasurable joy, connection, and love. We invite you to learn more about how a new (and very grateful) friend can brighten your day, every day.

Adoption Process

A thorough, but simple process

Need a running buddy? We have her! Need a couch potato? We have him, too! We can help you find the right friend, right now. We connect people and pets based on shared sensibilities, like lifestyle and energy, so every relationship is on a solid foundation.

When you visit the APA, one of our experienced adoption counselors will learn about your preferences and help you find a forever friend. Getting started only requires an ID, a form of payment and an open heart. Together, we can find a new roommate the same day you visit.

Adoption Fees

Your fee provides for more

Our average cost to care for an animal is $300, and some require much more. Your adoption fee is one additional reason to feel great about bringing home a new family member. Our variable pricing structure allows the pets that find homes quickly to cover those who stay with us longer or require a little more help getting back on their paws.

Our fees also include special discounts for senior citizens, as well as active duty military and veterans.

Your Donation Makes An Impact

Beyond adoption, there are many ways to help people and pets bring out the best in each other. A gift to the APA enables us to give second (and sometimes third or fourth) chances to deserving pets.
